Egri minaret

The photo was donated by Géza Baráth. The minaret was part of the former Kethuda mosque. It is 40 metres high, built around 1596, with a top dating from 1896. After the conquest, they tried to pull it down with 400 oxen. The minaret is the northernmost monument of 17th century Turkish architecture still standing.
